India's 2019 Lok Sabha Elections: Congress seeks Mamata's support

Meanwhile, prominent Congress leader Ahmed Patel met Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee on Sunday. On this day, Ahmed Patel came to the second Banga Bhavan in Chanakyapuri. The Congress leader greeted the Trinamool leader with flowers and a basket of fruits.

The meeting of the Congress leader with Mamata Banerjee is claimed to be very significant in view of the current national political situation in India. Trinamool Congress leadership said, 'In the current situation, Ahmed Patel's meeting with Mamata Banerjee is very significant. It is mentioned in the news that Ahmed Patel came to meet the Chief Minister of West Bengal on the instructions of Sona Gandhi. Mamata Banerjee is leading the front in the attempt to form an anti-BJP alliance. Congress is certainly keen to join that front.' Such news has been published.
