The Dhaka Times Desk Today you have the story of a village floating on water! A truly wonderful village. Everything in the village is floating on water!
About 80 miles west of Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, is a quaint village called 'Bokod'. The entire village is floating on the water of Bakod Lake. It can be called an artificial lake, which was built in 1961 by the famous Hungarian power generation company 'Orozlani Thermal Power Company'.
It is known that the power generating company built a power plant there, whose job was to draw cold water from the lake to the factory, heat it and send it back to the lake. The purpose is that the water of this extremely cold lake never freezes and turns into ice. Not even in winter.
Due to which the lake became very popular in just a few years. It is especially popular as a fishing ground. Those who love to fish used to go here and hunt fish for a long time. Within a few days, the locals built some small floating wooden houses in the water of this lake, which were very stylish. They also made a long wooden road to travel to these houses. Eventually it became a floating village.
And because of these floating houses, this remote lake becomes very spectacular in no time. Thanks to the Internet, the beauty of this village spread worldwide. The crowd of foreign tourists and photographers is gradually increasing. The village became a source of additional income for the locals.
