As a result, after a few days I faced the same problem again. Five Ways is a novel method of uncovering the root cause of a problem. By asking just 5 questions with Why, you can easily uncover the root cause of a problem.

Today we will try to understand the benefits of Five Why Theory with the help of an example. Suppose you are the managing director of an organization. Your company has faced heavy losses in the current year. But you still don't know the real reason why the company suffered such losses.

You call the manager to find out the root cause of the loss. Now you will find the root cause of the loss by applying the Five Why Rules.

১। আপনি প্রথমে ম্যানেজারকে জিজ্ঞাসা করবেন কেন আমাদের কোম্পানি ক্ষতির মুখোমুখি হয়েছে? ম্যানেজার উত্তর দিতে পারে, “আমরা সময়মত পণ্য সরবরাহ করতে পারি নি।”

২। আপনি আবার জিজ্ঞাসা করুন, “কেন আমরা সময়মত পণ্য সরবরাহ করতে পারি নি?” তিনি উত্তর দিতে পারেন, “আমরা সময়মত পণ্য উৎপাদন করতে পারিনি।”

৩। আপনি আবার জিজ্ঞাসা করবেন, “কেন আমরা সময়মত পণ্য উৎপাদন করতে পারিনি?” তিনি উত্তর দিতে পারেন, “আমরা সময়মত কাঁচামাল সংগ্রহ করতে পারি নি।”

৪। আপনি আবার জিজ্ঞাসা করতে পারেন, “কেন আমরা সময়মত কাঁচামাল সংগ্রহ করতে পারিনি?” তিনি উত্তর দিতে পারেন, “কাঁচামাল সরবরাহকারী কোম্পানি কাঁচামাল রপ্তানি করতে বিলম্ব করেছিল।”

৫। আপনি আবার জিজ্ঞাসা করতে পারেন, “কেন কাঁচামাল সরবরাহকারী কোম্পানি কাঁচামাল রপ্তানি করতে বিলম্ব করেছিল?” তিনি উত্তর দিতে পারেন, “কারণ আমরা সময়মত বিল পরিশোধ করতে পারিনি।”

Now you have clearly understood that the main reason for the loss is that your company has faced this loss due to non-payment of bills to raw material suppliers on time. One rule of the Five Why Rules is that you answer the question with the answer that the questioner gives. Then by asking just 5 questions you will find the root cause of the problem.
