Coup against King Salman imminent over Khashoggi murder: Prince Khalid

The Dhaka Times Desk Saudi Prince Khalid commented that a coup against King Salman is imminent due to the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

Dissident Prince Khalid bin Farhan Al Saud of Saudi Arabia has commented that a coup against Saudi King Salman and his heir Prince Mohammed bin Salman is imminent due to their involvement in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul, Turkey. He made such a comment in a newspaper called Middle East Monitor.

Prince Khalid bin Farhan said, I hope such a coup will happen very soon. And soon I will witness the coup of King Salman and Yuvraj.

Prince Khalid also said journalist Jamal Khashoggi had planned to write his memoirs, so that was one of the reasons he was killed. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is the one who directly ordered the assassination of Jamal Khashoggi.

Turkey's chief prosecutor said journalist Jamal Khashoggi was strangled to death as soon as he entered the Saudi consulate in Turkey, as planned. After killing him, the body was dismembered.

Türkiye claims that this explanation is not true. The country has warned the Saudi government to reveal the real facts and details of Khashoggi's murder.

They have also informed that no cover-up argument will be accepted in this regard. Even if Saudi does not reveal the truth about this, Turkey has also warned that it will reveal the details.

It should be noted that journalist Jamal Khashoggi went missing while taking necessary documents from the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey on October 2. At first Saudi Arabia did not admit it, but later the Saudi government admitted that Khashoggi was killed in a 'clash' inside the consulate.
