The Dhaka Times Desk Popular Bengali actress Jaya Ahsan is all set to play a villain in a Hindi-Bengali bilingual series. Jaya will play the role of a serial killer for the first time!
The story of this series is going to be based on a true story about a con man and his girlfriend. This film will be produced by Arindam Sheel.
Based on real-life characters in the 19th century context, research was heavily emphasized in scripting the series. This will be the story of India's first female serial killer. On casting Jaya as a villain, Arindam said, Jaya worked in a Kolkata Bengali film for the first time in my first film 'Awart'. I needed a strong actress for my new project 'Trailokya'. The character has 4/5 levels. So I didn't think of anyone other than Jaya. Although Jaya played the role of Trailokya in the series, Bollywood's Kao is being speculated as her boyfriend. Another famous actor of Kolkata, Tota Roy Chowdhury, is playing the role of a detective in this series.
Director Arindam also said that this will be my first Hindi work. This series will run for two seasons. The shooting is scheduled to begin before the puja. This series will be seen later this year.
