Electronic chip has come to protect women

The Dhaka Times Desk Even though this type of women's safety equipment has already been introduced in the market in different countries of the world, this is the first time that electronic chips have come to provide women's safety in the country.

According to media reports, three second-year students of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of the Leading University presented an amazing idea on 'Women's Safety' in the Women to Women Empowerment Challenge 'Idea Sharing and Poster Presentation' competition held in Dhaka organized by IEEE Bangladesh Section and won the 'Honorable Mansion' award. achieved

The team consisting of Sadia Mumtahina, Fauzia Nausheen Anbesha and Tarek Anwar Shikder was named 'Nari' - basically who secured the fourth position among 24 teams from various public and private universities in Bangladesh and also achieved the honor of securing the first position among all private universities.

Reportedly, this team shared the idea of making a special kind of electronic chip. The chip can be worn by women in their watch, locket or ring. Whenever a woman feels unsafe, an alarm will automatically sound by pressing a special button on a watch, locket or ring with a chip, which will allow anyone nearby to come to her aid. In addition to this, pressing the button will automatically call the 999 emergency service to the police. Then the police will be able to know his location and the police will be able to rescue him from danger as soon as possible. It has been reported that if there is no mobile network when using this chip, it will be possible to send an alarm signal through the chip using the radio frequency of that place.

The 10 judges present in that competition and all domestic and foreign observers praised the students of the leading university. It is said that several entrepreneurs have expressed their interest in funding this project.

Certificates and prize money were given to three people by IEE Bangladesh Section and Women in Engineering Affinity Group.

Kamruzzaman Chowdhury Santosh openly said that there are various research works on women safety all over the world. Leading universities are very sincere in sponsoring such constructive work.
