A TikTok user named Natalya Bharbak posted the video of a few seconds on her account. It shows an animal being held up on a wooden deck. His entire body is wrapped with fishing line. It looks like someone caught it by throwing it into the sea.

The animal looks a bit like a squid or an octopus. However, it does not have 8 tentacles like an octopus. There is also a large trunk-like part, from which there are two smaller tail-like parts. There are also two eyes on either side of the swollen head. In the video, the animal is seen squirming when the string is slightly pulled.

The British media Daily Mail reported that the animal was caught in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York. The video has received 14 lakh likes and about 20 thousand comments. The video has been viewed 1.62 million times. The video post also did not comment on the name of the animal. Whether the animal eventually managed to get back into the water, however, was not mentioned in the TikTok video.
