Indian media NDTV reported that Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and other governors have decided to take 30 percent less than their current salary for the next one year.

Similarly, all members of Parliament have also decided to take a 30 percent cut in their salaries. These funds will go to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund. The Government of India took such a decision in the cabinet meeting on Monday.

In addition, the decision to suspend the MP fund for the next 2 years was also taken in the meeting of the country's cabinet. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar told the country's news media NDTV that Tk 7,900 crore of that fund will also go to the Prime Minister's fund.
