Leopard attacks on people on empty roads!

The Dhaka Times Desk ভারতে লকডাউনে ফাঁকা সড়কে এক ব্যক্তির ওপর চিতাবাঘের হামলে পড়ার একটি ভিডিও চিত্র সামাজিকমাধ্যমে ছড়িয়ে পড়ে।

ওই ভিডিওতে দেখা যায় যে, চিতাবাঘ দুজন লোককে ধাওয়া করেছে। তাদের মধ্যে একজন চিতাবাঘের কবল হতে বাঁচতে দূরে একটি ট্রাকের ওপর লাফ দিয়ে ঢুকে পড়ে।

অন্য ব্যক্তি ট্রাকে ওঠার চেষ্টা করার সময় চিতাবাঘ ঝাঁপিয়ে পড়ে দ্বিতীয় ব্যক্তির পা কামড়ে ধরেছে। তবে অল্পের জন্য প্রাণে রক্ষা পান তিনি। ট্রাকের ওপরে উঠে পড়ায় আর নাগাল পায়নি চিতা বাঘটি।

এই সময় নেড়ি কুকুরের একটি দল ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে চিতাটিকে কোণঠাসা করে ফেলে। কুকুরের ভয়ে চিতাবাঘটিকে পাঁচিলের ওপরে লাফিয়ে ওঠার চেষ্টা করতেও দেখা যায়।

ভারতীয় গণমাধ্যম এনডিটিভির এক খবরে বলা হয়েছে, গত বৃহস্পতিবার ভারতের তেলেঙ্গানার রাজধানী হায়দারাবাদে এই ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে।

সিসিটিভিতে ধারণকৃত ওই ভিডিওটি সোশ্যাল মিডিয়ায় ব্যাপকভাবে শেয়ার করা হয়। হাজার হাজার মানুষ এটি দেখেছেন এবং মন্তব্যও করেছেন।

তেলেঙ্গানার বন ও বন্যপ্রাণী সুরক্ষা সমিতি সূত্রে জানা যায়, হায়দারাবাদের কৃষি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কাছে একটি পুকুরে কুকুররা ওই চিতাবাঘটিকে শনাক্ত করেছিল।

দেশটিতে লকডাউন জারির পর শহরাঞ্চলে বন্যপ্রাণীর ঢুকে পড়ার বেশ কয়েকটি উদাহরণ অনলাইনে ভাইরাল হয়েছে।

লকডাউন কার্যকর হওয়ার পর থেকে চিতাবাঘ, বাঘ এবং হাতিসহ বন্যপ্রাণী সমগ্র ভারতজুড়ে বিভিন্ন আবাসিক ও বাণিজ্যিকপাড়াতে দেখা গেছে।
