On the other hand, a TikTok spokesperson said, 'We attach great importance to the security of TikTok users. That's why we never allow video content to be broadcast if it shows any kind of risky behavior.'
GPDP had previously filed a case against TikTok in December last year. Although children below 13 years of age are prohibited from using TikTok, it is very easy to create an account on TikTok with a fake date of birth. Italy's user data privacy law, however, requires parental permission for people under the age of 14 to register on the social media platform, which TikTok never follows.
