In a recent tweet, WhatsApp released a video about the new feature. The video shows that in the previous feature of the app, images or videos could not be viewed in 'full format' at first; One had to tap on it and then see the entire content.
The app says that the new feature will allow users to directly view large format images without tapping. WhatsApp launched the feature for iPhone users last month. It is said that soon Android users will also be able to use the feature.
