The Dhaka Times Desk A baby girl was found alive in a wooden box in the river Ganga in India's Uttar Pradesh! Residents are shocked by this incident. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government took responsibility for the baby girl.

According to news media Anand Bazar newspaper, a wooden box was suddenly seen floating in the Ganga. A 22-day-old baby girl was found in it. The incident took place near Dadri Ghat in Gazipur, Uttar Pradesh, India. The locals were shocked to see that. The Uttar Pradesh government has already taken responsibility for the baby girl.

Gullu Chahudhari, a local boatman, was the first to spot it. Then he picked it up. His eyes widened as he opened the box. See that there is a newborn inside the box.

Gullu said that he thinks that this girl child was gifted to him by Ganga. So he wants to raise that child. The box in which the child was kept also had images of gods and goddesses attached to it. Also the child's horoscope was kept in that box.

Police said the child was admitted to the district hospital. They have not yet said anything about who the child will be with. A police official said that physical examination of the child was done. A search is on for the child's parents.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the boatmen in this incident. He said that the government will take care of the child. In gratitude, the sailor will get benefits of all government schemes.
