The scene you see is Shalban Vihar in Comilla. It is a historical building. Being a historical establishment, many tourists arrive every day.

Shalban Buddhist Vihar is one of the monuments of ancient civilization of Bangladesh. This Buddhist monastery is one of the numerous ancient structures in the Lalmai-Mainamati archaeological site of Comilla district.

Shalban Vihar is one of the major archaeological sites excavated at Mainamati in Comilla. This monastery is located in the middle of Lalmai hill near Bard in Kotbari. This Vihar was named Shalban Vihar because there was once a dense forest of Shal-Gazari around the Vihar. The name of the adjacent village is Shalbanpur. There is still a small forest there. This monastery is similar to Paharpur Buddhist monastery but much smaller in size. It is located about 8 km from Comilla city. Bus or CNG can be taken here from Comilla city.
