Bangladesh government has asked Facebook for the information of 12 suspects

The Dhaka Times Desk Facebook said Bangladesh has asked them for personal information of 12 Bangladeshi Facebook users. However, Facebook has not provided any information about these individuals to the Bangladesh government.


Last Tuesday, Facebook said in a report that many governments around the world have applied to Facebook for secret information about people who conduct special intelligence surveillance on the people of their countries on Facebook. According to Facebook, the government of Bangladesh is among the 74 countries that have applied for information. Facebook said in their statement that Bangladesh has asked them for information about 12 Facebook users. However, Facebook has not provided any information about these individuals to the Bangladesh government.
