According to the news, around noon on May 13, a sudden explosion occurred in the coal mine in the Soma area of Manisa province in the western part of Turkey. Rescue workers are working to rescue the dead and injured miners. Turkey's energy minister said the explosion occurred due to an electrical problem. The energy minister said that most of the people died due to carbon monoxide gas poisoning. Oxygen is being pumped into the mine to keep alive those still trapped inside.
