Pinak-6 owner Abu Bakr Siddique was arrested by RAB

The Dhaka Times Desk Finally RAB arrested Pinak-6 owner Abu Bakr Siddique. Abu Bakkar Siddique, the owner of the launch Pinak-6, which sank with about 300 passengers in Padma, Munshiganj, was absconding since the incident.

RAB-7 arrested him from a house of Agrabad Housing Society in Chittagong city on Wednesday morning. RAB's Chittagong zone captain Lt. Colonel Mifkah Uddin confirmed this to the media.

It should be noted that the ML Pinak-6 launch sank on August 4 on its way to Mawa from Kawrakandi Ghat with about 300 passengers. One hundred passengers survived but the rest fell to their deaths. So far 49 dead bodies have been recovered. The Pinak-6 launch has not yet been recovered. Many passengers are still missing.
