The Appellate Division sentenced Jamaat-e-Islami Naib Amir Delawar Hossain Saeedee to life imprisonment in the case of crimes against humanity. A 5-member appellate bench led by Chief Justice Mozammel Hossain announced the verdict on Wednesday morning.
The other members of the bench are Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha, Justice Md Abdul Wahab Mia, Justice Hasan Faiz Siddiqui and Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury. Yesterday, on the website of the Supreme Court on Tuesday, the issue of the pronouncement of Saeedee's verdict was listed as item number 1 on the agenda of the Appellate Division.
