The Dhaka Times Desk Rajshahi Express derailed near Sirajganj Eco Park this morning and Western Railway communication with Dhaka has been cut off.
After leaving Syedabad in the morning, the engine and 4 coaches of the Rajshahi Express train derailed near Eco Park in Sirajganj. No casualties were reported.
It is learned that the accident is initially believed to have occurred because the train was metered from the signal system. A 4-member investigation committee has been formed to investigate the accident. Trains are closed till this report is written.
