Breaking News: Air Asia Voice Recorder Recovered

The Dhaka Times Desk Indonesian divers have recovered the cockpit voice recorder, known as the plane's second 'black box'.

A day after recovering the original black box of the crashed AirAsia plane, Indonesian divers also recovered the cockpit voice recorder, known as the plane's second black box.

The cockpit voice recorder was recovered from the Java Sea on Tuesday morning, quoting Indonesian officials, international news media said.

Through this recorder, the conversations of the pilots inside the cockpit and their communication with the control tower will be known.

The head of the Indonesian search and rescue agency did not immediately confirm whether the voice recorder was available. However, it is expected that the details will be officially announced later in a press conference.

It is reported that after the recovery, the voice recorder was kept in the Indonesian warship Banda Aceh in the Java Sea. Yesterday, Monday, the original black box named flight data recorder was recovered from the sea and taken to the shore.

It should be noted that on December 28, flight QZ8501 with 162 passengers disappeared while traveling from Indonesia's second largest city Surabaya to Singapore. After days of extensive searching, the wreckage of the plane was found in the Java Sea. So far 48 bodies have been recovered.
