The Dhaka Times Desk The story of Hiroshima-Nagasaki atomic bomb is known to almost everyone. Sutomu Yamaguchi, a 93-year-old man who could not stop after the devastating attack of the atomic bomb!
Tsutomu Yamaguchi is one of the eyewitnesses of those cursed events in the history of the world. He who witnessed the nuclear explosion in Hiroshima-Nagasaki. On that day, the black shadow of death fell on the lives of about 129,000 people in Japan.
Many generations were born crippled and paralyzed by the intense chemical poisoning of the atomic bomb. Many healthy people shudder after seeing the picture of fear.
That cursed August 6, 1945. Tsutomu Yamaguchi was present in Hiroshima that day on business at Mitsubishi. It was 8.15 in the morning. The messenger of death came down from the chest of the sky. Hiroshima was destroyed. However, Tsutomu Yamaguchi survived with a bang.
Tsutomu Yamaguchi was just 3 km away, getting off a tram. He temporarily lost his sight but later regained it, his eardrum ruptured. And the upper part of the body was burnt.
Sutomu Yamaguchi returned home in spite of extreme unrest. There are more surprises. This is because the return destination is Nagasaki. Just two days after that, on August 9, another messenger of death, 'Fat Man', descended on his chest.
Sutomu Yamaguchi survived that day. He is still alive today. He is accompanied by terrible memories of that terrible day. A couple of nuclear bombs could not take the life of Tsutomu Yamaguchi. But today Tsutomu Yamaguchi is dying due to cancer. Sutomu Yamaguchi, another eyewitness of the Second World War, may leave the world with those terrible memories.
