Messi returned to the field with a pair of goals

The Dhaka Times Desk Barcelona finally saw the face of victory in the magic of Messi. Last Sunday in La Liga with Real Betis, Barca won 4-2 with Messi's double goals. As a result of this victory, the Catalans are only 2 points away from the title with 88 points in 34 matches in La Liga.

This victory can be called a kind of relief victory after the 7-goal defeat against Bayern in the Champions League semi-finals. But the biggest relief news is the return of Barcelona star Lionel Messi. He missed the 2nd leg of the semi-final against Bayern due to a hamstring injury but came back and scored 2 goals and left the field. With this, his number of goals in the league stood at 46.

However, the beginning of the match was not comfortable at all for Barca. Betis took the lead with Dorlan Pavan's goal within 2 minutes of the game. Tito Villanova's team equalized after 9 minutes with Chilean forward Sanchez's goal. Betis took the lead again 3 minutes before the end of the first half. This year's goal scorer is Ruben Perez. Barca started the second half from 1-2 behind. Barca equalized again in the 56th minute through David Veer's head. After this goal, Leo entered the field instead of Via. Within 3 minutes of landing, his excellent free kick found the Betis net. But the Argentine magician did not stop here. A team effort resulted in his masterful finish in the 71st minute which sent sighs of relief to the Nou Camp gallery. He also got a chance for a hat-trick at the very last moment, but could not capitalize on it. Despite returning from the field with 2 goals in 35 minutes, the lack of fitness in Messi's game was evident.

As a result of this victory, Barca was a breath away from the title of La Liga. Either a win at home or a loss to second-placed Real Madrid against Malaga could ensure another title at the Nou Camp. Lionel Messi's record as the top scorer has already been confirmed. Although there are 4 more matches in hand, the Barca striker's goal tally is 46, while the closest rival is Cristiano Ronaldo, who is 13 goals away. Colombian sensation Radamel Falcao of Atletico Madrid is in 3rd place with 26 goals.
