First phase of Vishwa Ijtema begins: Death of three devotees

The Dhaka Times Desk The first phase of Vishwa Ijtema has started. Three worshipers died on the first day of this year's Ijtema. After a while, millions of people of the country will participate in Friday prayers.

The first phase of Vishwa Ijtema has started today at the Turag shores of Tongir. Thousands of pilgrims started arriving two days ago. This year's first phase of Biswa Ijtema started with Am Bayan after Fajr prayer.

Meanwhile, three devotees who participated yesterday (Thursday) died due to old age. The deceased are Farid Uddin (65), son of Mamud Ali Kabiraj of Batia village of Singra Upazila of Natore and Noor Islam (72), a resident of Kamrangirchar area of Dhaka. The identity of the other person is not known. On Friday morning, the funeral of these three people was held at Ijtemasthal in Turagatir, Tongir.

Tabligh Jamaat organized World Ijtema is attended by millions of devotees from home and abroad. Before the last prayer, the leading teachers of Tabligh Jamaat will alternately speak on Akhlaq, Iman and Amal. Millions of worshipers will be busy in worshiping in the Ijtema Maidan after listening to the speech. The worshipers are taking positions in the Ijtema Maidan from the east to participate in the Friday Friday prayers. It is assumed that today's Friday prayer will be the largest congregation in the country.
