Abul Bajandar is a van driver. However, due to this disease, he is not able to do any work for the last 6 years. He said, 'First there were small pimples. Currently, the doctor has said that an operation will be required.
Abul Bajandar's house is at Paikgacha in Khulna. After being affected by the disease for the last 10 years, various treatments including homeopathy did not give any results. Went to India 5 years ago. Doctors advised surgery there but it was not done due to lack of money. Finally, when he was taken to a hospital in Khulna with the help of a journalist, a medical board of that hospital advised him to be admitted to the burn and plastic surgery unit of Dhaka Medical College.

Dr. coordinator of burn unit of DMK. Samant Lal Sen told the media that they will now form a medical board and try to restore this patient's hand to some normal condition through surgery. He said, 'This is called epidermo dysplasia verrucoformis. This disease is caused by a virus. Our first impression is that the patient's hand needs to be fixed. Then other tests have to be done.' Dr. Sen says, to his knowledge, there are only two recorded cases of the disease in the world so far. One of them is in Indonesia and the other is in Romania.
