Bithangal Akhara is one of the pilgrimage places for Vaishnads

The picture you are seeing is Vithangal Akhara, one of the pilgrimage places for Vaishnamits. It is 12 km from Baniachang upazila headquarters of Habiganj district. Located in the village of Bitangal on the southwestern banks of Howrah.

Bithangal Akhara is one of the pilgrimage sites of Vaishnads among the sightseeing places of Bangladesh. Its founder is Ramakrishna Goswami. He established the Akhara at that place in the 16th century after visiting various pilgrimage sites in the subcontinent.

It has 120 rooms for 120 Vaishnavas. Different types of religious festivals are held in this arena.
