The Dhaka Times Desk YouTube video offline viewing service is going to be launched in India. A feature called 'Smart Offline' will download the user's desired video at a specified time which can be watched later seamlessly without any internet connection.

According to news media, internet cost in India is quite expensive compared to other countries of the world. However, various mobile service providers offer the opportunity to use internet data at a low price during off-peak hours or midnight. And to exploit this opportunity, YouTube launched their offline service in the country.
This smart offline will download the user's favorite videos to the smartphone using the midnight low cost data pack. If you want to watch these videos later, there will be no need to spend data.
The Smart Offline service will initially be available under two mobile service providers in India. India's most used mobile operator Airtel and eighth ranked Telenor are launching Smart Offline service for their customers. But YouTube said they don't want to be stuck on just these two networks, and the list will be longer in the future.
To use the smart offline feature, Airtel and Telenor customers must use cellular data, this feature will not be useful in case of using WiFi data. Moreover, the YouTube app must be updated to the latest version.
To download the video, click on the gray arrow next to the YouTube video. After clicking, you can choose the specific schedule for downloading the video from the menu that appears on the screen.
'When you wake up in the morning, all your videos will be ready to watch offline and without any buffering!'
It should be noted that this feature of using YouTube offline was launched in the United States last year. However, it is only enabled for YouTube Red, the premium version of YouTube.
