The Dhaka Times Desk The famous Islamic preacher Zakir Naik's Peace TV channel is going to have sleepless nights!
India has not found any evidence against him for encouraging terrorism. Now India is in a quandary to stop Peace TV and other banned channels, media reported.
Indian authorities do not understand how many illegal channels are actually downloaded and broadcast in India.
Zakir Naik and Peace TV came into discussion on the assumption that two of the Gulshan murder suspects might have been inspired by Zakir Naik's speech. India and Bangladesh have already banned the broadcast of Dubai-based TV channel Peace TV.
An official of India's I&B Ministry told Hindustan Times that there is no system in place to monitor suspicious channels. Currently they only track authorized news and general entertainment channels. But the government is now cautious.
