The Dhaka Times Desk The country called Israel made a controversial decision again. Israel has banned the Holy Azan!
Israel's cabinet has approved a proposal banning loud calls to prayer from 11pm to 7am. This proposal was approved last Sunday.
Moti Zogev, leader of the far-right Jewish Home party, had previously proposed the controversial law.
It proposed a ban on loud mike prayer calls for all time. That is why the sirens for the Jewish 'Sabbath' prayer on Friday evenings were prohibited. And that's why the Israeli legislature, the Knesset, rejected the law.
Later, the law was amended to ban the loud call to prayer only from 11 pm to 7 am.
The cabinet committee approved the revised proposal last Sunday. The chairman of this committee is Ayelet Shaked, leader of the Jewish Home Party and Justice Minister of the Netanyahu government. The proposal is due to be tabled in the Knesset as a government bill on Wednesday pending ministerial approval.
Although this law does not mention any specific religion, Palestinian and Israeli Muslims claim it is the 'Muezzin Law'.
It is alleged that the occupying Zionist Israel is enacting this heinous law because of Islamophobia.
