The Dhaka Times Desk A US congressional committee has agreed to investigate allegations of Russian meddling in the US election and Donald Trump's victory.

Committee members have confirmed that the House Intelligence Panel will investigate collusion between the Trump campaign and Moscow, the BBC reported on Thursday. The White House, however, has previously denied such inappropriate behavior in the election campaign.
The US Department of Justice has confirmed that new Attorney General Jeff Sessions spoke with the Russian ambassador during the campaign. Allegations of Russian interference in the election are also being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Senate Investigative Committee.
It should be noted that earlier Russia also denied this allegation.
