Danger never comes. Any kind of danger can come suddenly. If that danger is burning. But many of us know that paste, egg white, butter etc. should be applied in case of burn. But they are very harmful. So what to do? Let's find out what to do if you get burned today.

Much depends on the type of burn

As with any burn, the first thing to look for is the type of burn. Burns can be divided into 3 categories. Such as first degree, second degree and third degree burns. Superficial burns or first degree burns occur on the very top of the skin. In this case, there is no blister. However, the skin may become red. It is quite painful. Such burns are completely healed within 5 to 10 days.

Second degree burns go deeper into the skin. This type of burn causes blisters. These types of burns are very painful. But it gets better in two to three weeks.

Third degree burns are the most serious burns. It can affect the internal part of the body. These types of burns are not painful though. That means it's not good. Pain is not felt because the nerves of the body are burned.

When burning, first you need to see how much space you have burned. If the extent of the burn is too high, you must go to the hospital without delay.

It should be seen what is burnt

If burned with a chemical substance or hot oil, it must be ensured that it no longer sticks to the body. If it sticks to clothes and any ornaments, it should be removed very quickly.

Icing is prohibited

Keep the burnt part under normal temperature water for 15-20 minutes i.e. keep it under the tap. It will relieve the irritation and pain a lot. If that is not possible, cover the burn with cool water. But do not apply ice directly to the skin. Applying ice too soon after a burn can dry out that part of the body, so immediate application of ice is prohibited.

Be careful

Many people put cream, egg white, paste or village dung on it after burning. These can be fatal. Cream, paste, egg white retain heat more. Due to which the skin burns more. Dung contains bad bacteria. They can cause infection. So avoid putting them on if it burns.

Know some other important things

In case of sudden burn, antibiotic ointment should be applied to the burnt area. If necessary, dressing should be done with Supratuli. Then apply antibiotic ointment on it. That's why the burnt skin will not get infected. It will also act as a bandage.

Antibiotics may be required if the burn is extensive. You can take medicines like paracetamol to reduce the pain. If it does not reduce, consult a doctor.
