There are many mosques in Egypt. But this mosque is an exceptional mosque. Especially its design is absolutely exceptional. The height of the mosque is very high. The domes and minarets of the mosque are also a bit exceptional.

Muhammad Ali Pasha is one of the most memorable Muslim pioneers of the 19th century. He consolidated and strengthened the entire Ottoman Caliphate. He also ended an anarchic situation in Egypt.

Muhammad Ali Pasha was an able army commander and ruler. His father's name is Ibrahim Agha and mother's name is Zaynab Agha. He was either a Turk or an Iranian according to his paternal lineage. This mosque was built in his name.
