Wondering where that strange school is located. This school is located in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal state of India. In order to admit boys and girls in a school called Jotghanshyam Neelmani High School in the district, the parents have to accept these two conditions.

Currently the number of students in this school is about 2 thousand. There are 56 teachers and staff. At the beginning of the year, like other schools, the admission process for various classes has started in that school. A separate undertaking is attached with the admission form. Their children are admitted there only if the parents give their consent.

Daspur MLA Mamata Bhuiyan and Zilla Parishad Education Officer Shyamapada Patra also praised this innovative initiative of the school due to the recent increase in child marriage. He opined that the trend of child marriage and child labor can be reduced due to such initiatives.

Conscious parents have also welcomed the initiative to prevent girls from getting married after enrolling in school. They think it is a good initiative. Such an initiative is expected to come in handy to prevent child marriage and save the nation from the scourge of child labour.

Nirmal Daskarmkar, head teacher of the school, said that in recent times, the trend of marrying young and sending children to earn money has increased at an unusual rate in West Bengal. This initiative is expected to reduce that trend somewhat. He hopes that the matter will be viewed positively.
