গত শনিবার মান্না দে পরিবারকে জানান তাঁর বুকে ব্যথা অনুভব করছেন এবং শ্বাস নিতে কষ্ট হচ্ছে এর পর তাকে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়। হাসপাতালে ভর্তির পর তাঁর অবস্থার আরও অবনতি হলে তাঁকে রোববার সকালে ঐ হাসপাতালের নিবিড় পরিচর্যা কেন্দ্রে (ICU) স্থানান্তর করা হয়। কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক জানান “মান্না দে ফুসফুসে সংক্রমণ ও কিডনির সমস্যায় ভুগছেন। সংক্রমণের ফলে সৃষ্ট বেশ কিছু জটিলতা দেখা দেওয়ায় তাঁর অবস্থা আশঙ্কাজনক।”
