The Dhaka Times Desk West Bengal vocalist Nachiketa Chakraborty has lent her voice to Bangladeshi film songs. He got huge popularity in both Bengals.
Nachiketa lent her voice to a song in the movie Raat Jaga Phool directed by Mir Sabbir. Although the recording of the song was completed before the start of the Corona pandemic, the director recently received the final version of the song.
The song titled 'Dinbadaler Din Shuru' in Nachiketa's voice was recorded in Kolkata. Lyrics penned by Mir Sabbir himself, music and music directed by Kolkata's Tamal Chakraborty.
About this song, Mir Sabbir said, 'It feels good to think that a singer like Nachiketa has sung in my film. He also liked the lyrics, so he agreed to sing. Hope the audience will hear a good song.' Emon Chowdhury has composed music for Raat Jaga Phool. Earlier, Mumtaz Begum had sung the title song of the film in the words of Mir Sabbir.
Mir Sabbir's production company Phuljhuri Media Limited is co-producing this government-funded movie. Jannatul Ferdous Oishi and Abu Huraira Tanveer played the lead roles in the film. This film also starred Dilara Zaman, Abul Hayat, Sharmili Ahmed, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Ejazul Islam, Mir Sabbir, Nazneen Chumki, Jairaj etc. Apart from directing and acting, Mir Sabbir wrote the film's story, screenplay and dialogues. The shooting of the film has already been completed. The film is scheduled to release in February of the new year.
It should be noted that Nachiketa Chakraborty, a popular vocalist of Kolkata, was born on September 1, 1964 in Bhandaria, Pirojpur district of Bangladesh. He studied at Manindra College, North Kolkata. He started writing songs from a young age, and also practiced music in his own way. His first album 'Ai Besh Bho Achi' was released in 1993.
