The Dhaka Times Desk The Great Rabbul Alamin has given some commands and prohibitions in the Holy Qur'an about the fasting of the holy month of Ramadan and has given some good news for the fasting people. So let's know the verses of the Holy Quran sent down about fasting.

1. "O believers! Fasting is enjoined upon you, as it was enjoined upon those before you, that you may attain piety." [Surah Baqarah: Verse 183]
2. “For a number of days of reckoning (for a certain number of days). Then whoever among you is sick or on a journey, he must make up that fast at another time. And for those for whom it is too painful, he will feed a poor person instead. He who does good deeds with joy is good for him. And if you fast, it is of great benefit to you, if you understand it.” [Surah Baqarah: Verse 184]
3. "The month of Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed, a guidance for mankind and a clear guidance for the righteous and a discerner between right and wrong. So whoever among you gets this month, he will fast this month. And the person who is sick or in a state of travel, he will complete the calculation on another day. Allah wants to make it easy for you; He does not desire for you complications, that you may complete the reckoning and describe the greatness of Allah for guiding you, that you may be grateful.” [Surah Baqarah: Verse 185]
4. “And when My servants ask you about Me, verily I am near. I accept the prayers of those who pray, when they pray to Me. Therefore, it is their absolute duty to obey my orders and believe in me without doubt. So that they may be guided." [Surah Baqarah: Verse 186]
5. "It is lawful for you to have intercourse with your wives during the night of fasting. They are your clothes and you are their clothes. Allah knows that you were deceiving yourselves, so He has forgiven you and set you free. Then join your wives and collect whatever Allah has provided for you. And eat and drink until the white line of dawn is clear from the black line. Then complete the fast till night. And do not mix with women as long as you remain in the mosque in Itakaf. This is the boundary set by Allah. So, don't even go near it. This is how Allah describes His verses for mankind, so that they may live.” [Surah Baqarah: Verse 187]
“Surely the Muslim man, the Muslim woman, the believing man, the believing woman, the loyal man, the loyal woman, the truthful man, the truthful woman, the patient man, the patient woman, the humble man, the humble woman, the charitable man, the charitable woman, the fasting man, the fasting Women, men who guard their genitals, women who guard their genitals, men who remember Allah more and women who remember Allah - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.” [Surah Ahzaab: Ayat: 35]
