In recent times, the veil of Muslim women, called the niqab, is being banned in many countries around the world. Denmark has banned Muslim women from wearing the niqab in public. A bill in this regard has been passed by the parliament of the country.

According to media reports, this bill was passed on Thursday. The bill states that veiling women in public is completely contrary to the prevailing values of Danish society.

It is said that this ban will be effective from August 1. On the other hand, the opponents say that this is undermining the right of women to wear clothes of their choice.

In this regard, the Danish Minister of Justice said that women who break this law will not be asked to remove the niqab. But they will be fined and asked to go back home. Fines can range from 1,000 Danish kroner to 10,000 kroner.

In February this year, the government introduced a bill to ban the niqab in Denmark after it was introduced in parliament.

It should be noted that Europe's France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Germany have also banned women's veils (niqab) in public. This time, Denmark also entered the same list.
