Padma is sometimes turbulent and sometimes silent and frozen. But the once beloved Padma is no more. Now Padma is like a silent frozen. Not even a flash of that wave.
Padma doesn't really look like the Padma we saw thirty or forty years ago. Water flowed in Padma almost at the same rate throughout the year. But now, although there is some water in the monsoon, there is no water in the dry season. Then it is seen that there is no water, only char is seen. Those who catch fish in Padma river now also have to sit and spend idle time. Monsoon caught some fish. They meet some hilsa. This is how the history of the once beloved Padma is going on.
