HSC exam results: Madrasa pass rate rises

The Dhaka Times Desk Today (Thursday) the results of Higher Secondary (HSC) and equivalent examinations have been declared. Madrasa Education Board results have increased this year.

Madrasah Education Board has done the best among the 10 boards in the Higher Secondary (HSC) and equivalent examinations this year. This year, the passing rate in the Alim exam is 78.67 percent. However, the average pass rate in 10 education boards is only 66.64 percent. However, even though the pass rate has increased, GPA-5 has decreased in madrasas like 8 boards.

Today (Thursday) at 10 am, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid presented the summary of HSC results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina along with the heads of 10 education boards.

The Education Minister said at this time that a total of 97 thousand 793 students took the Alim exam from the Madrasa Education Board. Among them, 76 thousand 932 passed. The pass rate is 78.67 percent. Among them 1 thousand 244 students got GPA 5. Last year 1 thousand 815 people got GPA-5. 1244 people got this time. This time 571 less people got GPA 5.

Last year the pass rate of Madrasa Education Board was 77.02 percent. This time the pass rate is 78.67 percent. The pass rate in this board has increased by 1.65 percent.

HSC and equivalent exams started on April 2. The theory test was conducted till May 13. Practical exam is held between 14th to 24th May. This is the first time that HSC results have been published in 55 days.

This year, 12 lakh 88 thousand 757 students participated in the examination in 10 education boards including madrasa and technical boards. 8 lakh 51 thousand 701 passed. Which is 57 thousand 90 people more than last year.

The average pass rate of 10 boards this year is 66.64 percent. Last time this rate was 68.91 percent. Accordingly, the pass rate in higher secondary has decreased by 2.27 percent.

A total of 29 thousand 262 people got GPA 5. Last time 37 thousand 726 people got it. As a result, 8 thousand 464 people got GPA less than 5.

How to know the result on mobile phone:

Candidates of 8th General Education Board should write HSC with space to get result on mobile phone then first three characters of board should write roll number with space and write 2018 with space. Then send SMS to 16222 number. Result will be given in return sms.

Madrasa Board students should write HSC with space, MAD with space, roll number with space, write 2018 with space and send SMS to 16222. You will get the result in the next SMS.

To know technical education board result write HSC with space then write TEC with space write roll number with space then write 2018 and send SMS to 16222. Students will know the result in the return SMS.

Rules for re-verification of results

Re-verification of HSC and equivalent results can be requested from the state-owned mobile operator Teletalk from July 20 to 26.

To apply for re-verification of result, write RSC, write first three letters of board name with space, write roll number with space, write subject code with space and send to 16222.

The return SMS will contain a PIN number (Personal Identification Number-PIN) indicating how much will be deducted towards the fee.

If you agree to the application, write RSC with a space, write YES with a space, then write the PIN number with a space, write a mobile number and send an SMS to 16222. Charges can be deducted at the rate of 150 taka for each subject and correspondence.

A total fee of Tk 300 shall be paid for the subjects which have two papers (1st and 2nd papers) for re-auditing the results of all the subjects.

In order to apply for more than one subject in the same SMS, it has been informed that the subject code should be written sequentially with 'comma'.
