Changing the display name to 'Elon Musk' will lock the Twitter account

The Dhaka Times Desk Twitter is the 2nd most popular social media in the world. Twitter is taking this step to suppress links to scams in response to Musk's questions about cryptocurrency scammers.

Twitter is implementing this new approach to combat cryptocurrency scammers. If someone changes their display name to Elon Mask, Twitter will automatically lock those accounts. Only those accounts that are not verified will be locked. Because many people are doing fraudulent work on Twitter by changing the display name with the names of Space X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

To re-unlock these renamed accounts, the user of the account must answer a series of questions and verify the account with an active phone number. Then the account can be managed later by changing the name or under the name of Elon Musk.

A Twitter spokesperson said, “We are constantly working to combat spam and malicious activity. New measures have been piloted to challenge accounts that use accounts associated with spam campaigns.”

কারণ সম্প্রতি এলন মাস্কের নামে অ্যাকাউন্ট করে এবং প্রোফাইল পিকচার সেট করে বেশ কিছু অসাধু ব্যক্তিরা টুইট করছে এবং অন্যদের সাথে চ্যাটিং করছে। ফলে অনেকে প্রকৃত এলন মাস্ক মনে করে বিভিন্ন প্রতারণার শিকার হচ্ছে। এর ফলে এলন মাস্ক’কে বিভিন্ন প্রশ্নের সম্মুখিন হতে হচ্ছে। মূলত এই অ্যাকাউন্ট ধারীরা ভেরিফাইড না হওয়ায় সন্যাক্ত করা খুব কঠিন হয়ে পড়ছে। তাই এই পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া হয়েছে।
