According to news media, Imran Khan-led Tehreek-e-Insaf Party won almost twice as many seats as Muslim League-Nawaz in Pakistan's parliamentary elections. However, other parties except Tehreek-e-Insaf have rejected this election result.

Preliminary unofficial results of the elections held yesterday (July 25) showed that Tehreek-e-Insaf won 111 seats and Muslim League-Nawaz 65 seats. Pakistan Peoples Party led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari got 43 seats, MQM got 5 seats and MMA got 9 seats. Today (July 26) the Election Commission of Pakistan is expected to officially announce the election results.

Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters took to the streets to cheer when the election results were announced late yesterday (Wednesday).

On the other hand, most of Pakistan's political parties rejected the election results. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz's top leader and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's brother Shahbaz Sharif rejected the election results at a press conference, saying the election was rigged unprecedentedly. These results did not reflect the true judgment of the people. Pakistan People's Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto rejected the election results as 'irrational and inconsistent'. Other political parties in Pakistan also strongly objected to the election results.

Pakistan Election Commission (CEC) chief Muhammad Raza Khan rejected the allegations and claimed that the 100% elections were fair and impartial. He announced this in a press conference today (July 26) at 4 am in the capital Islamabad.

It is to be noted that the Pakistan Army has been accused from various quarters of taking unprecedented measures against the country's main political parties, especially former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, to make the Tehreek-e-Insaf Party victorious.
