However, according to Global Times, the most popular Chinese media, the Chinese government will continue its development work with the new government of Pakistan.

The report also mentions the investment of 62 billion dollars by China in Pakistan. During this time, it is mentioned that they will continue development activities through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Those reports advised the new government of Pakistan to exercise more discretion in Sino-Pakistani relations. However, it is also advised to be wary of Western media's exaggeration of Sino-Pakistani relations in the past.
