'Rohingyas returned to Bangladesh detained and tortured' -Human Rights Watch

Among the Rohingya who took refuge in Bangladesh and returned to Rakhine, the human rights organization Human Rights Watch claimed that they were detained and tortured.

Phil Robertson, deputy director of the Asian region of the New York-based company, said this in a statement.

6 Rohingya citizens fled to Bangladesh to escape the ethnic cleansing campaign in Rakhine. They told Human Rights Watch that they were arrested several times by the country's Border Guard Police (BGP) after returning to their native Rakhine to earn money. Later they again took refuge in Bangladesh. The human rights organization says this is how Myanmar has been torturing the Rohingyas.
