DCC fixed the price of meat in Ramadan. Strict action against law violators

The Dhaka Times Desk Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) has fixed the price of meat in the capital so that the price of meat is not charged unnecessarily during Ramadan. It has been warned that strict action will be taken by mobile courts against those who violate the law.

450 rupees per kg of goat meat, 390 rupees of goat meat, 275 rupees of domestic beef, 250 rupees of buffalo meat and 260 rupees of foreign beef have been fixed. This order of DCC will be effective from 1st Ramzan to 26th Ramzan.

Yesterday, June 23, DCC (South) office, Dhaka City Corporation (South) Administrator Md. This price was fixed in a meeting with the meat traders of the capital under the chairmanship of Najibul Islam. Leaders of Bangladesh Meat Sellers Association and Dhaka Metropolitan Meat Sellers Association were present in the meeting.

Najibul Islam told the media that the price of meat determined by the City Corporation; Can't take more than that. Regular mobile courts will be operated. He also said that the mobile court will strictly supervise the meat market.

On the other hand, Rabiul Alam, Secretary General of the Meat Traders Association, told the media, "The price set by the City Corporation will not make much profit, but this price has been accepted to protect the sanctity of Ramadan."

It is to be noted that beef was sold up to Tk 425 in some places during Ramadan last year. DCC has taken this initiative so that the common people do not suffer during Ramadan due to the high profits of the businessmen.
