Jame Mosque in Isfahan, Iran is one of the masterpieces of Muslim architecture

The picture you are looking at is the Jame Masjid in Isfahan, Iran, one of the masterpieces of Muslim architecture. It is a historical mosque. It can be said to be a unique example of architecture.

This central Jame Mosque in Isfahan, Iran's third largest city, is one of the glories of Muslim architecture. At present, the main building of the mosque is a two-domed building built during the Seljuk period. This mosque was rebuilt in the 12th century.

Built in the iwan style, it has a quadrangular courtyard with a large arched doorway on each side directly facing the door on the opposite side. This characteristic of Isfahan's Jame Mosque became characteristic of other mosques in Iran later on.

It should be noted that UNESCO has declared this mosque as a world heritage site in 2012.
