Notorious gangster is now a friend of the poor!

The Dhaka Times Desk People are not always the same. People can change suddenly. And then he can become another person. As happened in the life of Yen Wei-shan in New Taipei City, Taiwan.

He was once a notorious gangster. Seeing him, tigers and moshes used to drink water at a ghat. That notorious gangster Yen Wei-shan of New Taipei City, Taiwan is now a friend of the poor. It is as if he is no longer recognizable. He does not have that terrible attitude. He is now a common man, who is called a good man.

Yen Wei-shan came into contact with the world of crime at an early age. When he was 15 years old, he got into a violent fight with a group. Clashes also occur with them. One person died there.

And so at the age of 15, Yen was jailed for involuntary manslaughter. He had to remain in prison for four and a half years. However, after being released from prison, Yen suddenly became a man in the criminal world. Formed an army of his own.

It went on like this for a long time. Once he became a target in the eyes of the police. Yen was caught by the police eight years ago. However, this is the last chance from the court to forgive Yen.

According to a report of Anandabazar Patrika Online, after that, Yen started to taste another freedom day by day. In his words, that opportunity woke me up. Since then, I cherish my family and this freedom.

It is known that Yen's mother runs a noodle shop in New Taipei City. Besides noodles, pork, shrimp and cabbage are also available at that stall. All this at a fair price for the common consumer. But what do those who can not afford?

Ian and his mother arrange these meals for free for them too! Yen said about 600 to 700 bowls of noodles are given to poor people for free every month.

Ian took up this work with Ma four years ago. To date, about 40,000 bowl noodles have been distributed to people for free, said a one-time gangster Yen! According to Yen, mainly old people and unemployed youth apply for free meals.

It's not just the noodle shop that Yen spends her days at. Yen went to the jail to have regular conversations with the prisoners.

A 62-year-old ex-gangster is also a daily regular shopper at Yen's shop. The person has also severed all contact with the family. Yen says, I have seen many gangsters end their lives like this. Sometimes I also have a hard time thinking that I have wasted so much time in my life.

Ian says, being involved in the criminal world felt like I was walking a tightrope - because at any moment an enemy was waiting for me. And now I meet people who are really happy to see me. I cannot explain to anyone the peace I am in now.
