যেমন একই শব্দ বারবার শোনা গেলে বুঝতে হবে আপনার কম্পিউটারের হার্ডড্রাইভ প্রায় শেষের পথে। বারবার শব্দ আসার বিষয়টিকে ‘ক্লিক অব ডেথ’ বলা যায় সফটওয়‍্যার বা ফোল্ডার খোলার সময় তুলনামূলক গতি কম হওয়া কিংবা হ‍্যাং হয়ে যাওয়া। আবার অনেক সময় ‘ব্লু স্ক্রিণ অব ডেথ’ দেখায়, কখনও কারণ ছাড়াই ফাইল গায়েব হয়ে যায়।
