Gyeonghwa Railway, cherry blossoms in South Korea

The railway track of this railway station in Gyeonghwa, South Korea is mainly famous for its cherry blossoms. To the north of this station is Seongjusa Station and to the south is Jinhae Station. There are rows of cherry blossom trees on both sides of this railway track.

When one walks along this railway, it feels like walking through a tunnel of cherry blossoms. Since 2006, rail services in and out of Gyeonghwa Station have been discontinued. However, the station has been redeveloped as a popular tourist attraction for the site's beautiful cherry blossoms.

This location is often used as a filming location for Korean movies. Many popular Korean movies have been shot here. Such as "Boys Goes to Heaven" (2005) and drama "Spring Waltz (2006)".

Every year in South Korea during the "Jinhai Gunhang" festival, a shuttle train called "cherry blossom festival shuttle train" departs from Gyeonghwa Railway Station to allow tourists to enjoy the view of cherry blossoms. Currently, this shuttle train has been equipped with high-quality rooms and bathrooms, so that the train passengers can enjoy the view of the cherry blossoms in comfort. It is known that this festival is organized in winter. Besides the cherry blossoms, the surrounding snowfall also creates a picturesque scene, which attracts tourists.
