The Dhaka Times Desk The Islami Chhatra Shibir, through a statement yesterday, suspended its call for a morning-evening strike across the country on Sunday.
The Islami Chhatra Shibir has suspended the strike on Sunday by giving the government a 72-hour deadline. The organization decided to postpone the morning-evening strike across the country due to inclement weather and various exams including Masters in National University. The camp threatened the strike in a circular on Friday demanding the release of the arrested leaders and search for the missing leaders. However, if the government does not meet their demands within 72 hours, a strict program including strike will be given from July 2, it was informed in a circular of the party on Saturday.
Meanwhile, according to the pre-announced program, yesterday Saturday, the student camp held a nationwide protest march including the capital Dhaka.
