'Hero Alam will not sit even if candidature is not returned'

The Dhaka Times Desk Hero Alam, the much-discussed candidate of the 11th National Assembly, said that he was distressed because his nomination papers were canceled and said, "Hero Alam will not sit even if his candidature is not returned".

Popular personality Hero Alam said that he felt a lot of pain due to cancellation of nomination papers. Hero Alam said that if the candidate is not returned, he will not sit, he will support any party.

After verifying the nomination papers last Sunday, Nandigram Upazila Election Officer of Bogra, Ashraf Hossain announced the cancellation of Hero Alam's nomination papers.

Hero Alam is of the opinion that his nomination papers have been rejected as he does not have the capacity. He also said that he will appeal to get the nomination papers back.

Hero Alam said what to do if the nomination is not returned, if this happens I will not sit Hero Alam. I will work for any party using my personal image.

On the question of which party he will support, Hero Alam said, I am not saying which party I will work for. You will know everything only in time.

Hero Alam sought nomination for election from Jatiya Party. He submitted nomination papers for Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram) constituency as an independent candidate without getting nomination.

Local Election Officer Ashraf Hossain Hero Alam's nomination has been declared invalid, saying, 'If an individual is nominated as an independent candidate, he has to give the signature of 1 percent of the total voters of his constituency. However, after verifying the list submitted by Hero Alam with the signatures of the voters, it has been found that he has submitted the list of fake voters to the Election Commission.

Hero Alam's comment on this matter is that the total number of voters in my constituency is 3 lakh 12 thousand 86 people. Accordingly, 3 thousand 121 signatures are required to submit nomination papers. There I gave the signature of 3 thousand 500 people. So under no circumstances can my nomination be cancelled.

It is to be noted that Hero Alam came up for nationwide discussion by showing various acting, singing and dancing on YouTube. His real name is Ashraful Alam. He got Hero Alam fame due to music videos. He has elected UP twice and this time he has entered the field to elect the 11th National Assembly.
