They get about 10,500 taka ($125 in dollars) per month for this work on the 'Under Sea Gardening' project.

According to media reports, conservation work was started last year with around 10,000 pieces of coral in the floating nursery under the sea.
The idea of people involved in this special project is that this new coral colony will gradually develop over an area of about 150 acres.
According to a news of India's Anandabazar newspaper, this protected area has been named 'Sea-Flower Biosphere Reserve'. UNESCO declared it as a protected area in 2000.
