A year ago, Washington released a report saying that immigrants in the United States have a major link to terrorism in that country. The U.S. Department of Justice acknowledged the inaccuracies and lack of evidence in that report.
The US administration said for the second time and for the last time that they will not change the document. However, the 'misunderstanding' created in that report will be reduced as much as possible in the next report.
The Justice and Homeland Security report claimed that since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, 402 out of 549 people, or 3 out of 4 people, have been involved in terrorist activities.
For that reason, in March 2017, US President Donald Trump issued an order to stop immigration to America from six Muslim countries. The reason for this is also explained in the report. After the document was released, critics slammed the report as inaccurate and misleading.
The US administration could not provide any evidence with their claims in the report. However, the US Department of Justice said that they will not change the report. Rather, the 'misunderstandings' created in the report will be reduced as much as possible in the next report.
It should be noted that because of that report, the process of living and immigration in the country was imposed extremely strict. Muslims have to face various kinds of harassment at different times.
